What are living things made of? Young scientists will zoom into the microscopic world of cells—the tiny building blocks of living things! Through colorful, hands-on activities and guided investigations, campers will discover what cells are, explore important cell parts and the jobs they perform, and compare plant and animal cells. Students will learn how structures such as the nucleus, cell membrane, mitochondria, vacuoles, and chloroplasts work together to keep cells functioning. Then they’ll become cell architects, using colorful clay and tools to build their own animal and plant cell models to take home. Designed especially for K–2 learners, this camp turns microscopic biology into a creative, visual, and exciting STEM adventure!!
