Step into the role of a genetic scientist and uncover the code of life! In this hands-on STEM camp, students will investigate DNA, genes, and genetics and discover how biological information is stored and passed along. Campers will explore the structure of DNA, learn how its four bases pair together, investigate how genetic information is connected to traits, and tackle genetics puzzles and scientific challenges that encourage problem-solving and critical thinking. Students will apply what they learn by constructing their own 3D DNA model and decoding the patterns that make DNA such an important part of every living thing. This engaging lab experience combines biology, building, and discovery for students ready to think like young genetic scientists.
